HO - EHS Manager

This leadership role is focused on ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards across the country. The EHS Manager will develop and lead teams to align with departmental and personal growth objectives, ensuring competencies and skills in EHS are advanced. This position also involves facilitating EHS training and development for managers and employees across all OCB Bank functions, including Commercial activities, and Corporate sectors, and plays a critical role in driving EHS training for senior management and the leadership team

1. Leadership and Development:

- Ensure the completion and adherence to all EHS training, maintaining compliance with relevant standards and policies.

- Lead and develop teams to enhance their capabilities in line with personal and departmental goals.

- Facilitate awareness and behavioral training in EHS across all organizational functions.

- Implement and oversee consequence management processes to uphold safety standards

2. Process Management:

- Provide EHS insights in the creation and execution of the office building, branches’s Long-Term Development Plan.

- Support site management with EHS issues, including accident investigations and risk assessments.

- Implement regional and group EHS initiatives and monitor compliance with local laws.

- Exercise authority to halt work in unsafe conditions in alignment with a Zero Accident culture.

3. Performance Management:

- Set and manage EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for sites according to country, regional, and group benchmarks.

- Ensure understanding and efficient management of EHS KPIs at all levels, focusing on metrics like TRFR, LTIFR, LIFR, GHG emission, waste and water consumption…

- Oversee EHS data reporting and initiate local performance reviews to identify trends and drive problem-solving measures.

- Provide EHS data to support for OCB Sustainability report.

- Support ESG team to work with lenders, FIs to have due diligence.

- Manage EHS departmental financial budgets (OPEX) and support improvement projects related to OPEX and CAPEX.

4. Functional Specific Management:

- Conduct field inspections, observations, and coaching, dedicating a minimum of 25% of time in the field.

- Lead ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 certification processes and follow-up actions.

- Collaborate with service providers and contractors to ensure compliance with local EHS systems.

- Oversee local EHS audits and participate in the ISC EHS network, sharing insights and participating in cross audits.

- Manage relationships with local authorities and ensure compliance.

- Play a pivotal role in CAPEX project execution and crisis management teams for critical EHS incidents.

1. Education and Experience:

- A university degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management, or a relevant combination of education and experience in Supply Chain EHS roles.

- 4-7 years of EHS management experience.

2. Language Skills:

- Proficiency in the local language, both spoken and written.

- Proficiency in English is preferable.
